Hey guys, you'll have to forgive me for asking about a subject that's old news, but I'm new here. I've been listening to Social D for a few years now, and recently came across a song that claims to be a cover they did of the Psychedelic Furs song "Pretty In
Pink."
Now while I realize that there are a lot of bullshit mislabeled songs online, I've got a pretty good ear, and damned if this doesn't sound like Mike Ness. However, I really couldn't find much anything about it online, and considering all the classic Johnny Cash/Edwin Bruce/Stones covers they've done, it doesn't seem likely that they would've done something as "poppy" as a Psychedelic Furs song.
So I thought I'd ask you experts: did indeed the band ever cover this, and if so, what album or compilation is it found on?? Thanks!!

Well guys, I checked out that "Before You Were Punk" CD on Amazon, and after comparing the the song I have to the samples online, I'm convinced that it IS Automatic 7 after all. Nice to clear that up. I was already a bit skeptical, but goddamn if it didn't have me fooled for a minute though! Guess I just have to study the nuances of Mike's voice a little more.
Anyway I hate to have asked--since obviously you guys get this question every so often--but I really do appreciate all of your input on this.
